A personal note from Yash
I still remember sitting at my kitchen table in 2019, staring at my laptop screen, trying to figure out if I should buy my first stock. I had saved up a few thousand dollars, and I wanted to invest it wisely. But the more I researched, the more lost I felt.
The "experts" on TV spoke in jargon I didn't understand. The free tools available were either too basic or overwhelmed me with data I couldn't interpret. And when I looked at what professional investors used? A Bloomberg Terminal. Twenty-five thousand dollars a year. Just to access the same information that billion-dollar hedge funds used to make decisions.
That moment stuck with me. Why should sophisticated financial analysis be locked behind a price tag that only the wealthy can afford? Why should a teacher, a nurse, a small business owner saving for retirement have to make investment decisions with a fraction of the intelligence that Wall Street professionals enjoy?
The answer I kept coming back to was simple: they shouldn't have to.
